I was re reading it and I noticed an odd wording

They gain additional arrow options at levels but they are always capped to two imbues per long/short rest, shouldn't they get more uses as they progress like battle master

It's intended. Many of the special shots are way stronger than anything the BM gets, hence why it's so limited. Don't worry you basically have free SS shots that rehit on a miss with a bonus action to carry you through :)
