Rules:
+Not technically a contest since I'm not licensed to host one on these forums :D
+You must make an optimized 20th level character with only 1 level in each class.
+The classes must have full base attack bonus.
+PrC's are allowed.
+Stick to official material if possible, but since I don't know if there are enough classes that do this, you may use 3rd party material if there aren't, or even if you just want to (though link to them so we can see them).

Inspiration:
+Reminiscing about the good old days of sub-optimal optimization.

Hmm this might be fun to look into. Off the top of my head base classes with full BaB:

PHB 1: Barbarian, Fighter, Ranger, Paladin.
PHB 2: Duskblade, Knight.
Complete Warrior: Hexblade, Samurai (Also in OA), Swashbuckler.
Tome of Battle: Crusader, Warblade.
ExPH: Psychic Warrior.

That is 12 that I know of. Though Knight requires Lawful, Barbarian Non-Lawful and Paladin's are Lawful Good by default. Though going PoF we could slip in 11 base classes. Now the question is how to qualify for 9 different full BaB Prcs. . .

If I find the time I think this would be silly interesting to do without PrCs. I'm fairly certain there is no optimization scenario for 20 levels of different classes though!

Edit: Zancloufer beat me, looks like less than 20 base classes with full bab

According to my copy of the XPH, Psychic Warriors only have 3/4 BAB, unfortunately.:smallfrown:

Curses! The challenge here might be finding a combination of classes that let's use hit 20 BaB from 20 different classes.

Complete Warrior has Exotic Weapon Master, Bear Warrior and Occult Slayer as Full BaB classes that Collectively only requires 3 feats (Exotic Weapon Prof, Weapon Focus with an Exotic Weapon and Power attack) and 4+5 skill ranks. If we don't mind going for a Bastard Sword (instead of, say, a Spiked Chain) as our weapon focus weapon Ronin is easily available as well.

Tome of Battle has Bloodstorm Blade requiring Point blank shot, Eternal Blade if an Elf. Actually not much there that we can quailify with that has full BaB. JPM and RKV require a noticably dip in Divine or arcane classes unfortunately and Mo9 is only 3/4 BaB.

Abjurant Champion is only 1 feat hmm. I think Arcane Archer would only be 1 feat away for the build so far as well.

That alone is 17/20 classes with only 5 feats spent and 4+5+12 skill points.

Half-Orc Paragon and Orc Paragon are both full BAB, and you can take one level of each if you start as a half-orc.

Dwarf Paragon is similarly full BAB, but has no follow-up.

Soulborn from Magic of Incarnum is full BAB (but generally awful). You must be an extreme alignment to take it (LG, CG, LE, or CE).

UA Variant Paladins include Paladin of Freedom (CG) for compatibility with Barbarian.

The Warrior NPC class is full BAB, but it's an NPC class (yuck).

(I found this interesting that I wanted to do something like this.)

NG Human Ranger1/Barbarian1/Rokugan Ninja1/Fighter1/Hexblade1/other full base BAB classes. Take Warblade and Crusader late in the build for maneuver purposes. I'd likely need to do PrCs to get 20 levels.

You may be able to do a mount build with this between battlemaiden, griffon rider, ashworm dragoon, windrider, wild planes outrider, beast heart adept etc.

Here's the full BAB prestige classes that begin with the letters "C" and "V"

C
Cavalier (Complete Warrior p. 19)
Cavelord (Underdark p. 30)

Hmm. This looks fun, but I find myself wishing for level 2 or 4 in at least one class. (eg- Wildshape Ranger.)

Is Dragon considered fair game, since this isn't a formal optimization contest?

Well if we're going for officiality it's probably:
1. WotC material
2. Well known third party (dragon magazine and such)
3. Homebrew

Though that's more like 1.1 with dragon magazine imo.

This (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?454553) should be useful, hopefully...especially for finding level 1 class features.

Would Pathfinder go under 3rd Party, or 3.x exclusive?

Would Pathfinder go under 3rd Party, or 3.x exclusive?

That's hard to say. The idea is sort of to make a build that would be 3.5 legal. Dragon magazine has been well liked by DM's I've known, but pathfinder material is usually built with a stronger encounter system in mind (at least that's how I understand it). I couldn't really say though. It's definitely playtested, but I don't know much about it admittedly.

Battle Dancer is another full BAB base class

I can make the following level 12 CN half-orc character:

Anarch(CN Paladin Variant from Dragon Magazine) 1/Spirit Lion Totem Barbarian(Variant from Complete Champion) 1/Battle Dancer 1/Mystic Ranger 1(Ranger Variant from Dragon Magazine)/Fighter 1/Warblade 1/Crusader 1/Swashbuckler 1/Duskblade 1/Hexblade 1/Half-Orc Paragon 1/Orc Paragon 1

Too lazy to come up with the last 8 levels for today.

So, on the PF vs 3.5 question: Are the PF/DSP Full BAB Psionic Classes fair game? 3.5 somehow managed to not have any Full BAB base class Manifesters.

I'd give it a 1.3

Reasoning:
It's not wotc material and it's not 3.5 material. It's got a higher power balance point, but it's easily reverse compatible with 3.5 and it's well known and well liked (and I've seen DMs allow pathfinder stuff in their games).

Though honestly, I don't know if it would be more powerful than "normal"(?) 3.5 material or not. It's just what I've heard about it.

I think this build very technically works (if not really optimal to a point). The big benefit ends up being having a large bonus to intimidate from half-orc paragon, unseelie fey, nymph's kiss and the jotunbrud opposed check bonus (if you choose to let that count). Since you end up pumping charisma to increase intimidate, Battle Dancer, and Paladin of Freedom provide additional class features that run off of Charisma (although Paladin of Freedom is quite limited). Berserk and Bear Warrior provide means to temporarily boost our strength score to respectable levels, and Warblade and Crusader are obvious musts for a martial character.

I believe the closest I get to third party is Dragon Compendium, but i might have a region conflict somewhere that I forgot about.

Chaotic Good Unseelie Fey Feral Half-Orc LA+1 /Ranger 1/Ex-Samurai 1/Barbarian 1/Half-Orc Paragon 1/Fighter 1/Battle Dancer 1/Duskblade 1/Abjurant Champion 1/Berserk 1/Paladin of Freedom 1/Bear Warrior 1/Ronin 1/Dragonslayer 1/Warblade 1/Crusader 1/Annointed Knight 1/Gladiator 1/Leviathan Hunter 1/Platinum Knight 1

1st:Human Heritage
Flaw(Vulnerable): Jotunbrud
Flaw(Shaky):Nymph's Kiss
Otyugh Hole:Iron Will
3rd:Combat Casting
Fighter Bonus Feat:Power Attack
6th:Cleave
9th:Dodge
12th:Ancestral Relic
15th:Dragonfriend
18th:Extra Rage

Edit:So I forgot that half-orc paragon's intimidate bonus is also racial so I would suggest changing the base race to human and the half-orc paragon level to Frenzied berserker down the line using the two feat slots the build gains. This allows for decent strength boosting through bear warrior rage, frenzy and beserk.

Huh. For some reason, I had remembered it as having a Full-BAB progression, not a 3/4 one.

Do monster HD count as a "class"?

How much LA are we allowed to have?

Being a Tome Dragon gish is looking pretty appealing right now...

Only the first HD if full bab, and only as much LA as you could buy off with the UA variant before epic level. You must end up with 20 "levels" and 20 bab.
