Which one is better for an eldritch knight who multiclassed wizard?

Staff of the Magi is a better magical item overall, so better for pretty much anyone.

For the staff of power you get more AC, but we are talking legendary and very rare items and you are part fighter your AC should be dang high already. It also lets you add damage to an attack, which is good. However the Staff of the Magi gives you spell absorption, which will cover your weakest point (mental spells effecting you, charm? dominant person? fear? No problem anymore for you). Add on free casting of arcane lock, detect magic, enlarge/reduce, light, mage hand, or protection from evil and good.

Power gaming perspective?

Staff of Power. Wall of Force is just too good.

Staff of Magi is solid though, only really for the Advantage on saves again spells and the spell absorbtion (Counterspell being great to absorb).
