Hi, so I've been playing DND 5e for quite some time now, and have had the sudden urge to play a frog themed character and I'd like some help to figure out how.

No homebrew but Unearthed Arcana is A-ok, and there's no limitation on races classes or levels, I'm interested to hear your thoughts!

I'd go for a circle of the Shepherd druid with focus on summoning. Conjure animals for a giant toad or an absolute pile of giant frogs. I'd elect the latter, and use the bear spirit totem to give them a pile of extra THP each. This doesn't scale super well, since you'd be wanting to cast conjure fey at higher levels normally, but it's a start.

Druids also have Jump and Thorn Whip (you can refluff the latter as a sticky tongue).

Yep, Druid. Swamp Druid, probably. Do frogs live in swamps? I don't know.

Yes frogs live in swamps. Get yourself a ring of jumping most definitely.

If you want to play either a gnome, halfling, or possibly just a cranky old man; Reaper Miniatures has the perfect mini for you...

I've played a Bullywug before with minor homebrew. Basically Goblin stats with the Bullywug's jump and ability to talk to frogs. It was pretty fun, especially since it was a pulp sci-fi adventure.

Gnome paladin (OatA) use find steed to ride giant frog. Racial ability lets you talk to small animals for free so can chat with frogs, maybe take find familiar through ritual caster feat for a frog familiar too.

A ninth-level Warlock can grab the Otherworldly Leap invocation for at-will Jump. Normally a terrible invocation pick, unless you want to go for a frog, flea or rabbit theme

I would say probably...battlemaster fighter with some levels in druid to give you access to some healing and water spells. See if you can convince your DM to give you a special spell at high level that summons a giant frog to smash down on the enemies and call your sword the masamune.

Monk / Moon Druid? Druid keeps its features when it wildshapes, so get high enough to wildshape into the strongest frog you can find, then go monk and be a Kung Fu frog.
