With the release of the Hex Blade and other goodies from Unearthed Arcana I got to thinking about things I missed from 3rd edition Locks and thought I'd borrow some stuff. Critique please!

Otherworldly Patrons
The beings that serve as patrons for warlocks are mighty inhabitants of other planes of existence—not gods, but almost godlike in their power. Various patrons give their warlocks access to different powers and invocations, and expect significant favors in return. Som e patrons collect warlocks, doling out mystic knowledge relatively freely or boasting of their ability to bind mortals to their will. Other patrons bestow their power only grudgingly, and might make a pact with only one warlock. Warlocks who serve the same patron might view each other as allies, siblings, or rivals.

Primordials
You have made a pact with a primordial. The primordials were god-like beings made of manifest entropy and elemental energy whose domains were the Elemental Chaos

Expanded Spell List
Primordials allow for no additional spells to be added to the warlocks spell list.

Manipulate Essence
Starting at 3rd level you learn to manipulate the very essence of eldritch energy, causing it to have additional effects when tied to your Eldritch Blast. You learn either the Agonizing Blast, Frightful Blast, Sickening Blast, or Repelling Blast Invocation for free. Only a single essence can be tied to a single Eldritch Blast at one time.

Lesser Essence
At 6th level the warlock can add either Beshadowed Blast, Brimstone Blast, or Hellrime Blast to their eldritch blast cantrip.

Greater Essence
At 10th level the warlock can add either Bewitching Blast, Hindering Blast, or Noxious Blast to their eldritch blast cantrip.

Superior Essence
At 14th level the warlock can add either Binding Blast, Utterdark Blast, or Vitriolic Blast to their eldritch blast cantrip.

PACT BOON
At 3rd level, your otherworldly patron bestows a gift upon you for your loyal service. You gain one of the following features of your choice.

Pact of the Eldritch Disciple
This warlock has mastered the Eldritch Blast cantrip and dedicated his time the studies of essences that can be combined with the spell. He or she gains an additional Invocation at third level that must be selected from those that affect the eldritch blast spell, such as Sickening Blast, Fearful Blast, or Eldritch Spear. as well as receiving the Agonizing Blast Invocation for free.
At 10th level the Warlock can add different essences to each beam when casting eldritch blast, and gains an additional essence to add to his arsenal.

Eldritch Essences

Beshadowed Blast
Prerequisite: eldritch blast cantrip, 6th level warlock
When you cast eldritch blast, using this essence, the target must make a constitution saving throw or become Blind for 1 minute.
• A blinded creature can't see and automatically fails any ability check that requires sight.
• Attack rolls against the creature have advantage, and the creature's attack rolls have disadvantage.

Bewitching Blast
Prerequisite:eldritch blast cantrip, 11th level warlock
When you cast eldritch blast, using this essence, the target must make a wisdom saving throw or be confused for 1 minute. An affected target can’t take reactions and must roll a d10 at the start of each of its turns to determine its behavior for that turn.
Confusion Results
Roll
d10 Effect
1 The creature uses all its movement to move in a random direction. To determine the
direction, roll a d8 and assign a direction to each die face. The creature doesn’t take an
action this turn.
2-6 The creature doesn’t move or take actions this turn.
7-8 The creature uses its action to make a melee attack against a randomly determined
creature within its reach. If there is no creature within its reach, the creature does nothing
this turn.
9+ The creature can act and move normally.
At the end of its next turn the creature can attempt another wisdom saving throw with success ending the effect for that target.

Binding Blast
Prerequisite: eldritch blast cantrip, Level 14 Warlock
When you cast eldritch blast, using this essence, the target of this spell must make a wisdom saving throw or be paralyzed for 1 minute.
• A paralyzed creature is incapacitated (see the condition) and can't move or speak.
• The creature automatically fails Strength and Dexterity saving throws.
• Attack rolls against the creature have advantage. • Any attack that hits the creature is a
critical hit if the attacker is within 5 feet of the creature.

Brimstone Blast
Prerequisite: eldritch blast cantrip, Level 6 warlock
When you cast eldritch blast, using this essence changes the Eldritch Blast to fire damage and the target must make a dexterity saving throw or take 1d4 additional fire damage each round for a number of rounds equal to the warlocks charisma modifier. The creature can take an action on its turn to extinguish the flames or an ally within 5' can use the help action to do this.

Frightful Blast
Prerequisite: eldritch blast cantrip
When you cast eldritch blast, using this essence the target must make a wisdom saving throw or become Frightened for 1 minute.
• A frightened creature has disadvantage on ability checks and attack rolls while the source of its fear is within line of sight. Creatures immune to being charmed are also immune to this essence.

Hellrime Blast
Prerequisite: eldritch blast cantrip, 6th level warlock
When you cast eldritch blast, using this essence changes the Eldritch Blast to Cold damage and the target must make a constitution saving throw or have its limbs numbed for 1 minute. The creature loses any bonuses from dexterity modifier toward skills or AC and its speed is reduced by 10 during the duration. Speed reduction stacks with itself.

Hindering Blast
Prerequisite: eldritch blast cantrip, 11th level warlock
When you cast eldritch blast, using this essence the target must make a wisdom saving throw or be slowed for 1 minute. An affected target’s speed is halved or reduced by 10 (whichever is greater), it takes a −2 penalty to AC and Dexterity saving throws, and it can’t use reactions. On its turn, it can use either an action or a bonus action, not both. Regardless of the creature’s abilities or magic items, it can’t make more than one melee or ranged attack during its turn. If the creature attempts to cast a spell with a casting time of 1 action, roll a d20. On an 11 or higher, the spell doesn’t take effect until the creature’s next turn, and the creature must use its action on that turn to complete the spell. If it can’t, the spell is wasted.

Noxious Blast
Prerequisite: eldritch blast cantrip, 11th level warlock
When you cast eldritch blast, using this essence the target must make a constitution saving throw or become Incapacitated for 1 minute.
• A Incapacitated creature can't make actions or reactions, has its movement cut in half, and attacks against them have advantage.

Sickening Blast
Prerequisite: eldritch blast cantrip
When you cast eldritch blast, using this essence, the target must make a constitution saving throw or become Poisoned for 1 minute. • A poisoned creature has disadvantage on attack rolls and ability checks. Creatures immune to poison are also immune to this essence.

Utterdark Blast
Prerequisite: eldritch blast cantrip, 14th level warlock
When you cast eldritch blast, using this essence undead are healed by the damage amount. Living targets must make a constitution saving throw or have its Strength reduced by 1d4+1 for 24 hours and take an additional 2d6 necrotic damage. The damage and the ability drain stack. If a humanoid has its strength reduced to 0 it becomes a shadow, rising 1d4 hours later, under the warlocks control. Restoration spells will heal ability damage.

Vitriolic Blast
Prerequisite: eldritch blast cantrip, 11th level warlock
When you cast eldritch blast, using this essence the target take an additional 2d6 acid damage each round for a number of rounds equal to the warlocks charisma modifier. This damage bypasses acid or spell resistances but not immunities.
