As the title states, i'm having trouble coming up with a whimsical name for my new Tiefling Warlock who will be a lawyer, kinda a Devil's advocate" if you will. I'm hoping you all are smarter than me and can come up with a name.

Thanks for all replies

Does your tiefling warlock use darkness and devil's sight? Does he fight using a club with pact of the blade? Does he seek out evildoers at night and fight them? Is he plagued with guilt by his desire to be an adventurer outside of the law?

Wolf, Ram or Hart.

Alistair Tibalt. Alistair is a variant of the name Alexander, meaning a defender of the people. The surname comes from the Germanic elements of 'people' and 'bold', which could be basically a little injoke to his profession, in that he's a very bold person for giving voice to unpopular thoughts. The former name could even be seen as him being the defender of people who need a bit of defense, if he's willing to argue for people who might otherwise be punished.

Through this might not fit a character playing devil's advocate, he could be cynical enough to choose a name that would make him more appealing and to win people over. People might not really want to agree with Omniousname McEvilsymbol.

Wolf, Ram, & Hart really sounds like the Patron.

Now I want to homebrew a WRH patron...

Really none of these. So prob not gonna go the Daredevil route, but it is tempting. 😆

Blackquill

In Harry Potter, it is the name of a magic quill that sucks the blood from your hand and uses it in place of ink.

It is also the name of a prosecutor in Ace Attorney.

Double nerding.

I'm sorry, this ends the thread here.

Milton Faust.

Eventually, give him a flying broom re-skinned as a big beer barrel, and a ring of invisibility. And he bargains about EVERYTHING.

A little more lore friendly, if you go with a tiefling from Mulhorand and follow their naming conventions

Bahati ("wise soul") Zia'ptah (Blood of Ptah, Egyptian/Mulhorandi god of craft, knowledge, and secrets), and tieflings often have a "virtue" nickname.
