It's less of a joke and more of a punpun

I think you just won the internet.

Actualy, it doesn't explain that thing. Pun-pun wouldn't let something as trivial as predicted death kill him.
The oracle is obviously one of the many Pun-pun simulacrum, except he's a runaway. He needed to let Belkar kill him as to not appear suspicious to the Pun-pun regulatory comission.

Which also explains why he avoided Xykon. He knew that if Xykon met him, he'd either have to let Xykon Soul-Bind him and escape (which would set off Pun Pun's radar), or just outright fight off Xykon, which would also look really suspicious to Pun Pun.

I can't believe this has turned into a (semi)serious discussion. :smalltongue:

Waited a bit too long to say this, but frankly I think it's pretty shaky. For all the things I believe Pun-Pun is capable of I think what the oracle can do is not nearly as clear cut for him while the orcale dosen't really display what Pun-Pun is well known for. So yeah I don't think the weaker parts being the most well known respective traits is the most stable start.

It's a joke. Only things that someone is supposed to actually believe can be shaky.

Really I didn't notice. And I don't believe that's true anyway.
Edit: The later part, not the joke part.

I, too, think that that is supposed to be a joke.
