Hi All,

Would appreciate some assistance in deciding which archetype you would recommend for playing a Half-orc Barbarian in Pathfinder. Thank you all so much, very helpful community out here.

Max damage is not really based on archetype, more just maxing strength and killing things while raging with a 2 handed weapon+power attack.

Also, what do you mean by max damage? If you have a party of 6 fighting a swarm of 100 things, the spirit totem tree is going to do a LOT more damage than the animal totem. Does it mean damage you do personally? The mounted fury, mad dog, and burn rider all get mounts/animal companions which can do a lot of damage on their own, and will equal out to more on your turn.

The wild rager archetype gets an extra attack each turn it full attacks, albeit at a penalty to attacks and AC. It is also fairly dangerous to the party as it can confuse itself and attack allies.

The titan mauler also takes penalties, but you can wield larger than normal weapons, which do more damage.

The base Barb is frankly solid; get the Greater Beast Totem and go to town. That said, peruse this guide (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?233032-PF-Anger-Management-A-Pathfinder-Guide-to-the-Barbarian) for more details on the various options.

Extra damage I would say take elemental Barbarian . In theory elemental is a totem but the book does not label it as such . You could in theory mix elemental with another totem .
Spirit totem is great extra damage but you need good charisma for that .

Take razor tusk feat it will give you a bite attack . Yes there is a rage power that does the same but only when you are enraged .

The is a nasty exotic axe in a 3.5 side book called a blood axe
it does 2D8 damage . Ask DM if you can use that and remind him you burning an exotic weapon feat for that.

Half Orc is your best bet because there is more book options and exclusive feats for them. Although a dwarf is not too shabby either

There are better races to choose but no options for them

The "classic" options havenīt changed that much:
- Superstitious/Mounted Fury with a two level dip into Mammoth Rider and VMC Oracle.
- Invulnerable Ranger with either VMC Oracle or VMC Alchemist and a one level dip into Oracle.

A potentially good "new" option would be:
- Dreadnaught VMC Fighter into Sanguine Angel. Makes a great TWF Switch-Hitter.

Edit: Even with the errata for Spirited Charge, with the new mount feats from Adventurers Guide and the related items (Greathelm of the Mammoth Lord, Mammoth Hide, Mammoth Lance), as well as Narrow Frame and Lithe Attacker, a mounted barbarian is quite doable.
