If you had the choice of the two, conjure volley seems like a no-brainer, no?

Oops, didn't realize conjure volley was 5th level.

Not sure the point of this thread. You start out by saying conjure volley is better then comment that it is a higher level. That seems to follow expectations.

If you are in a roundabout way suggesting that conjure volley is actually the same power level as fireball, then lets compare an upcasted 5th level fireball to conjure volley and see how it holds up.

Stat | Fireball(5th) | Conjure Volley
Damage | 10d6 ~ 35 | 8d8 ~ 36 -> Conjure Volley Wins
Range| 150ft | 150ft -> Tie
Area | 20ft radius | 40ft radius, 20ft high -> Conjure Volley wins by a lot
Type | Fire | Non Magical piercing or Bludgeoning -> About equal, fireball probably edging ahead

All in all Conjure volley is better than a fireball cast in a 5th level slots which seems to follow the balance standards. Not seeing a problem here.

...They started a thread to discuss which is better before realizing that Conjure Volley was 5th level, then edited their post afterwards.
