I'm a fairly new GM, and one of my players has expressed an interest in playing a wild magic character. I really like the idea of a class based around wild magic surges, but I was wondering if the Wild Magic sorcerer archetype from 5e would be too gamebreaking in the Pathfinder rule set. What are your opinions?

How are you planning to adapt it?

It already exists in the form of primal/wild magic, so probably not at all. Wildblooded is meh already in 5E.

Personally, I'd just use a regular PF Sorcerer with the following (homebrewed) trait:

Wild Magic: Whenever the character with this trait casts a spell in a stressful situation (i.e. combat), roll a d20. If the d20 rolls a 1, roll on the [insert d10000 (or so) Wild Magic/Wand of Wonder table (they exist) here] and apply the rolled effect to the spell (the DM has the power to veto, reroll and/or modify any rolled effect, as appropriate).
