Aelsif doesn't do the standard wealth by level, but I figured it'd be good to explain how NPC wealth and equipment is actually decided in Aelsif. There are four major factors.

First, is the NPC an adventurer? Because if so, that screws everything here up as their status is largely decided by their level, so they will follow an alternative version of wealth by level. An NPC adventurer will generally have the following equipment quality for their primary weapon set and attire, and the remaining wealth to spend on additional gear, resources and currency. PCs using this table to determine starting wealth may receive the gear, the wealth, both or neither at DM discretion.

Second question, what society do they live in? Is it the Gnomtaller, a wealthy nation, a poor nation, one of the reptilian societies, hobgoblin society, or a tribal island society? This determines which of the following tables is used. Third question, are they civilian or military? Fourth question, what is their socioeconomic status in said society? That determines where they fall in each table.
