Barbarian, or unchained barb,race

What is better the regular barbarian class or the unchained trying to build a 2 hander mage slayer also what would be the best playable character race for the barbarian

What do you mean by "better"? The base barbarian can get a bit more powerful since Ubarb removed some of their most potent abilities.

Ubarb is nice with the temp HP & a bit less math, and it opens itself to more build types. For example, Ubarb can work well for TWF and/or a Dex build since they get a static damage boost instead of additional STR.

You have a VERY broad concept. The most I can say is that Dwarf would be nice for the bonus to saves against spells. With a trait & feat you'll get a total of +5 vs spells & spell-like abilities along with +3 vs poison.

That - and eventually aim for Spell Sunder.
