I'm HANKERING for some games, but I don't want to DM and I don't have anyone that can! I like 3.5, i know how to make some crazy fun stuff in 3.5... if I find nothing I might be tempted to pathfinder...

I used to live in KCMO, and there was a pretty active Living Greyhawk community there. I'm sure if you look around, you can probably find the next evolution of that, the Pathfinder Society (http://paizo.com/pathfinderSociety).

Look what the google drug in: https://warhorn.net/events/kcmopfs
Also: https://www.rpgkc.org/events

This will help you get involved in Organized Play, which I've personally always found to be fun, but it'll also put you in contact with people who are passionate about gaming and you might be able to make friends and rustle up a 3.whatever group from there. Or a Settlers of Catan group. Or a MtG group. Or whatever. Organized Play is not for everyone, but its great if you have a busy schedule or can't commit to periodic games due to family commitments or uncertain job schedules. Get a hold of some of the organizers there and see what events are coming up and how you can take part.

That said, I don't think this is the forum that mods want you posting what basically amounts to classifieds in. A quick Ctr-F through the Forum Rules (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/announcement.php?a=1) doesn't reveal anything, but I seem to remember something somewhere...

Good luck!

I sent you a PM.

Also, I've had really good luck on the KC D&D Meet-up group (https://www.meetup.com/dnd-1121/), and have gotten most of my long-time players through there.

Specifically the Events page (http://paizo.com/organizedplay/events), but you can also contact the venture officer for your area (http://paizo.com/organizedplay/coordinators), they may know about further games which are not listed on the event page (I know many groups which organize e.g. through Warhorn).
