So, random thought.

I want to create a Slenderman (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Slender_Man) inspired villain for my game.

https://carboncostume.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2014/09/slenderman.jpg
I want to use Void Walker (http://archive.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/mm/20031219a) as the base, due to their Void Subtype abilities:

Void Subtype: Void creatures are made of the same empty space that comprises the Void. Normal creatures (that is, creatures without the void subtype) cannot see them unless the void creature makes its presence known, either by an act of will (a free action) or by attacking. A void creature has total concealment (50% miss chance) unless it reveals itself. See invisibility and invisibility purge don't reveal void creatures, but true seeing does. Blindsight and blindsense don't reveal void creatures. Members of the void disciple class can see void creatures. Once it reveals itself, a void creature remains visible until it uses a free action to conceal itself again.

I want him to go from CR 5 right up to CR 20, so this gives me 15 class levels to play with.

Was thinking of a 2 level Master of Masks (http://archive.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/ex/20070105a&page=3) dip to get the Faceless persona mask:

Faceless: Only a pair of empty eyeholes break this otherwise featureless oval, porcelain mask.
You gain a +5 competence bonus on saves against mind-affecting spells and abilities. You are protected from divination effects as if by a nondetection spell; the DC of the caster level check is 15 + your master of masks level.
Even if the nondetection effect is overcome, your alignment appears to be neutral while you wear a faceless mask.

Feats I want locked in: Willing Deformity, Deformity (tall). [Possibly Deformity (gaunt) as well?]

Other than that, I'm open to suggestions for the other 13 levels and other 6 feats (including one epic feat at 21HD). I was contemplating Mortal Hunter from BoVD.

Here's the stipulations for my game:

No psionics, incarnum, shadow magic, truename magic or Artifficers (please don't bother asking "why not?").
No Dragon Mag (other than Compendium), homebrew, 3rd party or Pathfinder. Assume the build needs to be legal for Iron Chef or Villainous Competition.
As little campaign specific (FR, Eberron) material as possible.
Usual ability method is elite array (15,14,13,12,10,8), but I could be talked into 32 point buy.

Cheers - T

Let me guess, the plan of this guy is to "whisper" in susceptible girls' ears, to make them stab their friends at a sleep over, because they fear his retaliations if they don't... right? :smallwink:

Is that a Slenderman thing? My knowledge of Slenderman lore is pretty much limited to Wiki and what I've read on gaming forums.

I was thinking of him more being a horror-based recurring villain that might menace my PCs, mostly indirectly.

I would reccomend a one level dip into Warshaper, that would get you the tentacles for the slenderman since by RAW Morphic weapon can be stacked NI times, although I would probably limit that to around 1 per Con bonus in a sane game. If you take 7 wizard levels to qualify that is already 8 levels used.

Last time this came up, the best build looked to be:
- Changeling race (MM3, and all alone this could get you a blank-ish face)
- [Aberrant] feats like Inhuman Reach and Deepspawn (for 10 ft. tentacles)

For [Vile] feats you probably want Deformity (gaunt) in addition to Deformity (tall).

For a build, let's see:

Changeling Cleric (Trickery, Pact) 5 / Master of Masks 2 / Warshaper x (for Morphic Weapons and maybe more) -- and then into something that advances spellcasting, perhaps Fleshwarper if you can swing the Familiar requirement.

Feats:
L1: Apprentice (DMG2) -- entertainer for Perform, up to 8 ranks
Flaw (___): Aberration Blood [Aberrant] (LoM) -- sticky hands for +3 grapple
Flaw (___): Inhuman Reach [Aberrant] (LoM)
L3: Deepspawn [Aberrant] (LoM)
L6: Willing Deformity [Vile]
L9: Deformity (Tall) [Vile]
L12: Deformity (Gaunt) [Vile]

Can you get the 3 [Vile] feats by pledging yourself to an Elder Evil, instead of actually paying 3 level-up feat slots for them?

There was a couple of mentally ill girls in US, who did this, because they somehow thought he was real, and that he would kill their families if they did not kill their class mate... Here (http://edition.cnn.com/2014/06/03/justice/wisconsin-girl-stabbed/index.html)

Interesting build, but I'm set on using Void Walker as the base.

Elder Evil for bonus vile feats is a great idea!

That has distinct possibilities!

Would the Mortal Skin (Su) polymorph ability of Mortal Hunter qualify him for Warshaper?

Ah, I see...

My knowledge of Slenderman is mostly from the found-footage horror series on Youtube, "Marble Hornets". In that, he tends to appear and disappear without a trace, makes people have seizures and nosebleeds, and generally causes paranoia and violent tendencies in people he interacts with.

If I was to move away from Warshaper, Maybe a Beguiler 3/MoM 2/Mortal Hunter 10 build?

His Pain Touch SLA could be re-fluffed as seizures and nosebleeds. Paranoia could be done with fear/mind affecting spells.

If I could somehow get access to Morality Undone (Bard 5, Cleric 5, Corruption 4, Mortal Hunter 4) and/or Remorseless Charm (Bard 5, Cleric 6, Sor/Wiz 6) would be good too. Bard 13/MoM 2? Dirge Singer/Doomspeak bard maybe?

You could consider either adding Wendigo or replacing Voidwalker with Wendigo, as it seems to match all your requirements. I would also consider maxxing hide and move silently and taking the feat (Bite of the Mosquito or something like that?" that doesn't allow the victim to notice an attack until the round after. Some fear-based feats would make sense as well, like Frightful Presence. If you want something unexpected, you can give him some levels of barbarian and go with bloodsoaked intimidate, so he can appear and rip the heart out of a nearby commoner to frighten the party, thus ensuring they're isolated....

Why not use a Choker as the base creature?

Mosquito's Bite is a skill trick isn't it? Would work real nice with Void Walker as he would reveal himself with an attack, then vanish at the end of his turn (or whatever), and nobody would know the horror of what had happened until afterward.

Probably need to jack up a Fear aura. Are Void Walkers a valid race for the Mummified Creature template?

I'm pretty set on Void Walker, but other than that, I really like the suggestions.

Unfortunately, not. Outsider doesn't seem to be valid for Mummified creature.

If I were to go Outsider 6/Spellthief 1/Sorcerer 2/Unseen Seer 4/Arcane Trickster 6/Master of Masks 2 (or something similar), I should be able to use spells to set up a fear aura, and also have a decent Sneak Attack.
