It occurred to me you can use Blink to scout ahead and even to get through doors and walls. Ready your action to dash after blinking and dash through the obstacle. You can scout your move distance and even reappear on the other side of the door if it's within 10 feet of where you vanished.

Create a Demiplane. Now you can Plane Shift enemy creatures into that Demiplane like a prison cell. You could leave it trapped to die, probably by suffocation though it would take quite a while, or you could release it elsewhere by reopening the door to that plane.

I know folks like to Disintegrate a creature right after Polymorphing it into something small and pathetic, but consider Plane Shift instead. Most tiny CR 0 beasts have 10+ dex but negative charisma scores. A crab is -4 cha saves. If you're DC is 17+, it always fails.

What sorts of unconventional uses for spells have you thought of?
