Greetings Playground!
I'm going to be making a spreadsheet of Starfinder's spells (just got the PDF. I'm super giddy :)) and I was wondering if I'm missing any of the general categories that can be used to describe spells or other special abilities.
Trying to get a solid understanding of the system before it inevitably gains 10^45 possible permutations of characters. Also, I'll be co-DMing a game in the next few months and I've never been great at system mastery or giving useful suggestions to my spellcasting players.
My current list is:
Blasting (any direct damage)
Buffing
Debuffing
Battlefield Control
Healing
Utility
Summoning? (Is this just a subcategory of utility?)
Am I missing anything?
Also, even though there's an AMA (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?532995-Starfinder-is-pretty-Cool-AMA&highlight=AMA/forums) already posted in this forum and a wiki (http://www.starfindersrd.com/) in the wider internets, if you have any questions about Starfinder, ask away! Searching through the PDF for really specific info will just help me wrap my head around this even faster.
