Are we allowed to advertise our forum in our signature?

A board I go to needs more members, and I would like to advertise it in my signature. I thought I would ask here first however.

Yes, as long as it's not selling anything you're allowed to advertise pretty much any site.

There has to be an internet law of equilibrium in that somewhere. Along the lines of:

"Your forum doesn't need more members, your members need less forum"
