Flying Monkey Magic

So Tomb of Annihilation has the Monkey beast, which with DMs permission can be had as a familiar (says so in the text!) it also can be picked up as a Beastmaster (first version) Rangers companion at 3rd level.

Now this is a SMALL winged monkey that can fly, it also has a strength of 8!

This allows it to carry (8 * 15) 120 lbs of stuff or 1 halfling, gnome, goblin, or kobold, plus some of their kit.

12 ac, 3 hp, 14 Dex, pack tactics (speed of 30 -flying and walking, 20 climb)

Note: If you happen to be a small race, have in mind, that this is the only small familiar that can fly, so if you get the Reduce spell (or anything like that) you could use it as your mount (I think that you could use the Revised Ranger version with this pet, letting you improve its stats)

Dang another beast with DEX as its high stat not using it for its attacks, its like what gives? :( if I rolled a pure revised beast master I would prob use the 5 ASI's to make its end stats 12/18/12/6/12/6, would let it have pretty good ac and initiative, decent damage and to hit(at least not negative), seing as a monkey has a humanoid body shape one could assume you could give the little fella a belt of giant strength lol

Well... yeah, if an Imp with 6 STR can carry a naked Kobold, then this monkey should be able to do the same (And a little more), but if you're small, you can just use Reduce (Note: Though any medium creature could make the flying monkey carry them if they use reduce on themselves)

The issue with the Imp was that it was TINY and thus had 1/2 carrying capacity with a STR of 6, so max carry 45 lbs (20.4 kg)
The Flying Monkey is SMALL thus doesn't have the 1/2 carrying capacity clause, and has a STR of 8, so can fly carrying 130 lbs (59 kg) .

The issue with the Imp was that it was TINY and thus had 1/2 carrying capacity with a STR of 6, so max carry 45 lbs (20.4 kg)
The Flying Monkey is SMALL thus doesn't have the 1/2 carrying capacity clause, and has a STR of 8, so can fly carrying 130 lbs (59 kg) .

Well that would mean that it would be able to carry SOME medium creatures with difficulty (so will have to go the route of naked kobold -not that you are going to be a kobold, but with no heavy armor or equipment), and small creatures without much of a problem.
