Sure, why not? As long as you're doing more help than harm, I think you can safely claim a Good alignment.

But more importantly, who cares? Alignments provide essentially no useful information, aside from their interaction with a handful of spells.

I suppose you are right. I am trying to set this game up to pit chaos against law, though, and I am trying to make the disinction clear.
