View Full Version : Zombie T Rex for TOA/Chult *homemade*

I thought for sure WotC or WizKids or whoever would have made one of these as a single box purchase by now, considering how badass it looks in the book and as cool as a Zombie Dino puking up humanoid zombies is... but not yet. So I decided to make my own.

Note: I am no Warhammer super-precision master artist or anything. I just paint mini's to look decent/unique and modify them with household items like comb teeth, other mini parts, toothpics, etc to look cool enough from where most people see them-a couple feet away at the table.

I'm pretty happy with this one for what I paid and the time it took (watched an episode of Critical Role while doing it.)

Anatomically incorrect Dinosaur-$1.00 (notice the opposible thumbs and 4 fingers?)
Toothpics from a Chinese Buffet-free.
Reaper 5 pack of Zombies-$3.99
Plus paint and other supplies like hot glue, exacto knife, and stuff I already had.

So for 5 bucks and a few hours, I have something pretty sweet that our DM for TOA is gonna be psyched to throw at us.

Badass. You get inspiration.

When I heard about this monster, I considered using one of the old Fiendish T-Rex Minis to modify it, but this looks even easier.

We just fought this bad boy in our game this week and sadly it went down fast, getting stun-locked by the monk, despite his high con.

10/10 A+++ would place in my next halfling village regardless of setting.

I’m jealous! I’ve just been “stealing” dinosaurs for minis from my place of work (an arcade, I order all the prizes so I get prime picks) to use in my upcoming ToA game, but this is awesome!

I'll show this post to the DM for TOA amd see if he gives me that inspiration-I usually run but def wanted to be a player for this campaign and what hapoens to the Realms after.
I'll have to remember that stun tactic. We have a guy doing a Tortle Drunken Master Monk(provided it's ((very likely)) in Xanathar's.)
