Please explain what you mean by 'rate threads'.

Rate threads? As in, saing that this is a good thread, and this is a bad thread? Judging that one topic qualifies as a Four Star topic and another deserves only two?

Uhh... I'm fairly certain there is no such thing... *confused*

If you go the FAQ it says you can rate theads from 1-5 but i
can`t figure out how to rate
them

I think that option is disabled.

I concur. It's most likely an option with the new board software that was never enabled.

The board FAQ includes a certain amount of default information. Not every feature on this board has been enabled. Things like polls, public groups, the Calendar, and even thread ratings are disabled. However, the board FAQ came with the software and mentions these items by default.

I rate you 1 out of 5 for etiquette and 4 out of 5 for amusingness.

Why so low on etiquette? He put it in the wrong spot, but other than that he seemed pretty polite, no l33tspeak... needs to learn how to use full stops, but other than that, 'twere fine. Surely deserving of a 3, 2 at least.

I have high standards? I dunno, it was an off the cuff rating.

3/10.

I never really got the point of thread ratings, anyway. I mean, what purpose do they serve?

I never really got the point of thread ratings, anyway. I mean, what purpose do they serve? Here? No purpose that I can see. On a site that's mostly product reviews I can see some value. High rating for a thread that actually discusses the merits and flaws of a product; low rating for some thread that's full of "Well, I think it should have included X" and name-calling bickering.
