I just noticed that dimension hop (swift action teleport psionic power) totally lets you set up a battle jump every time you use it.

All you need to do is teleport 5 ft above your target and you're set

And since your fall is considered a charge you can combine that with a headlong rush for even more damage

On top of it this is mostly impervious to terrain except in low ceiling areas.

Sadly, the rules are explicitly against this.

A creature or object brought into being or transported to your location......cannot appear inside another creature or object, nor can it appear floating in an empty space. It must arrive in an open location on a surface capable of supporting it.

That only applies to other creatures. The rules don't say anything about teleporting yourself.

There are a lot of dubious gray areas with the whole "4500 lbs of stupid" trick. Teleporting yourself above your opponent generally isn't one of the more problematic areas. Qualifying for Battle Jump, figuring out how it works, and adjudicating falling object damage are more likely to run afoul of rules arguments.

You need a technically climbable wall or roof to teleport to and drop off. The surface must be able to support you, but nothing says you have to use that support.

Or if you can fly the air is a surface capable of supporting you.

But that rule very specifically calls out OTHER creatures. So by RAW you would be fine teleporting just yourself, wouldn't you.

Errr....I'm really not seeing how you two are getting that. 'A creature' covers both yourself, and other creatures.

And it only applies for things going to your location, for that matter.

In the timeless words of the esteemed Dr. Banzai: "No matter where you go, there you are."

You can't bring yourself to your current location. You're already there.

I can't find that rule anywhere. Where did you find it exactly in the SRD because there is no such restriction in the power description.

And, as stated earlier, if you can fly then the point becomes moot.

A dragonborn orc with wings could even teleport 30 ft above his target then charge straight down to trigger a diving charge on top of it

It is in the SRD, just in a not-so-obvious location:

That's for a conjuration spell

This is a psionic power (psychoportation to be precise)

so according to RAW, even with transparency this doesn't apply to psionic dimension hop
