Break Will
Illusion (Phantasm) [Mind-Affecting, Evil, Vile, Law]
Level: Sor/Wiz 7
Components: V, S
Casting Time: 1 standard action
Range: touch
Target: One living creature
Duration: Concentration, up to 3d6 rounds
Saving Throw: Will negates
Spell Resistance: Yes

You grasp the target's forehead and torture their mind at the speed of thought, sapping at their personality...you twisted bastard.

This spell attacks the will of the target, and was designed to make them subservient to the caster in a way that dominate person cannot, getting around the restriction against forcing someone to act against their nature by changing their nature. During each round of the duration, it deals 1d4 points of Charisma damage, 1 point of which is Vile. The target is unable to act for the duration of the spell. Even if the non-Vile Charisma damage reduces the target's Charisma score to 0, the character does not fall unconcious until the end of the spell.

If the Vile damage alone would reduce the target's Charisma score below 10, they forget that this spell was ever cast, and in fact devotedly serve the caster or an individual specified at the time of casting out of some twisted loyalty. If previously chaotic or good, their alignment changes to neutral. If seperated from the caster somehow, they are easily influenced into serving someone else simmilarly, although if reunited with the caster they will usually abandon this person. If the Vile damage is ever fully healed, this represents the target being able to recover the memories without suppressing them.

If the Vile damage inflicted by this spell becomes equal to the target's original Charisma score, they behave as if they were a soulless husk until the damage is healed. This may or may not deprive them of class features, skills, feats, or other abilities, at the DM's discression.

Casting this spell is a Vile act that puts the caster's alignment one step closer to Evil.

The DM may assign special conditions to healing the Vile Charisma damage caused by this spell in place of the normal conditions to healing Vile ability damage. These may range anywhere from roleplaying to a Heart's Ease spell cast immediately after meeting all normal conditions to a Wish or Miracle spell to a spell designed specificly for the task.
