I'm trying to find 3.5 adventures like White Plume Mountain, Tomb of Horrors, and the Warlock's Walk level to Maure Castle that I can download free right now. Any links?

I believe there were several free adventures published on the WotC site - you can find them in The Guide to Free D&D (http://minmaxforum.com/index.php?topic=513.0) by searching for "adventure." (Note that some content may require cached pages/wayback machine.)

Check out the one-shot, low-level adventure The Burning Plague (http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd%2Foa%2F20000801a). Taylor-made for1st level PCs, doable in two sessions of 4 hours each.

Here's (http://www.dungeonmastering.com/campaigns-adventures/83-free-dd-adventures) a handy resource that might help, in addition to the guide to free D&D. Many of the links are probably broken, but I bet the typical approach of replacing "www" with "archive" might solve them. Let me know if you have any trouble with getting a specific one figured out.

Edit: Rubik's compilation (https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B5Q9O1xtidQ5aVhaUXlZc1B3Zkk) of all the web stuff might have them, too.

Doesn't look like the PDF link still works, even with the "archive" substitution. Is it mirrored anywhere?

Most (all?) of the WotC free 3E module links have been disabled on their official site.

Most (all?) are now available as paid content from sites like DriveThruRPG.

Insert my usual rant about once free content now being paid content

Ugh! Can DTR even do that? :smallannoyed:

That's disappointing to say the least.

Sometimes cached versions of the original pages can get you a working download link. But the wizards archives typically won't.

Well, damn. Can't find where I got it in the first place. But I found that most nice link (http://bothgunsblazing.com/adventures/) in the meantime :) there are 35 mirrored links in there.

I'm assuming they have a legal deal with WotC that allows them to do so.

Yeah well... *blows raspberry*

I guess 99c isn't bad to pick up the ones that are otherwise lost to Wayback.

Drivethru RPG doesn't determine pricing - their publishers do. This is on WotC, not DTR.

I have them all saved from back in the day (along with a bunch of free RPGA Living Greyhawk adventures), but I'm not sure of the legality of re-uploading them.

I would never ask.

Yes - if that is indeed the relationship that exists.

It's the relationship that exists with the rest of their publishers, there's no reason to think that WotC is different - particularly because they seem particularly unlikely to surrender content to a third party in exchange for part of the profit, as they actually have their own distribution networks and don't get a significant visibility boost.

For the record, I'm no doubting you - just acknowledging that I haven't seen such a deal myself. I'm sure it exists. Mostly I'm being grumpy.

I found Warlock's Walk in Oerth Journal #23 on canonfire.com. It is a free download. Thank you, everyone, for your help. Capitalism is all so very well, but sharing is caring!

Can you post the page where you found this?

I’m looking at what looks like the homepage for the Oerth Journal, but the issues only go up to #19, and clicking on what should be a PDF redirects me to some funky Japanese page where I don’t think I want to stay. Using the site’s search function doesn’t get me the title you describe.

So I have no idea what’s going on. The domain name matches what you posted above, but the content doesn’t.

That's awesome! But somehow I miss Sunless Citadel... it's not even in the list?

Well, Sunless Citadel was never released as a free download, so...

I checked it out and saw what happened. Go to canonfire.com and click on Downloads, then select Oerth Journal. Here is the link I wrote: http://www.canonfire.com/cf/modules.php?name=Downloads&d_op=viewdownload&cid=13&min=30&orderby=titleA&show=10
I hope it works.

I am 100% certain that in less than 10 minutes of googling, with keywords like "adventurename 3.5 pdf" you'll find everything you need, at least for the most common of the previous adventures.
