Is it possible to TWF with spells? say for example a Flame Blade and a Produce flame or even 2 Flame blades?

I don't see why it wouldn't be, but you'd be taking significant penalty to attack with two flame blades, both being one handed weapons. Produce flame would be considered a light weapon however.

Yeah you can two weapon fight with those. A charged spell in your hand counts as a weapon. so you can use them as you would any other weapon of the appropriet type. Though soem of these "weapons" may be discharged once you hit something.

With the right feats you can also dual wield Wands. Take another glance through complete arcane you'll see what I mean.

Thanks, i knew about wands but was a bit hazy on spells

i think i'll go for the Flame Blade/Produce Flame combo

This came about as i normally fight with a pole arm or spear but what we are fighting is affected by Elemental attacks more than physical ones and i cant use shields so TWF came to mind

A Druid/Dervish can wield the Flame Blades with minimal penalties. LOLz but all the other druid will think he's weird.

Note you can't "hold the charge" on two touch spells at once.

But weapon-like spells? Game. I've been dual wielding produce flame for a while.

Hmm... it'd be interesting to make a PRC based around dual-wielding a weapon in one hand with a touch spell in the other. Not sure how it would work, though... you'd probably need some way of casting touch spells as part of an attack action.

Flame Dagger is a Sor/Wiz spell identical to Flame Blade, except that it counts as a dagger and deals 1d4 base damage. Decastave counts as a quarterstaff so you only need to cast it once to dual wield, but it only lasts 1 round/level, found in Unapproachable East IIRC.

Ask your DM about power attacking with spells such as Flame Blade. The bonus damage from power attack has nothing to do with strength, and therefore works just fine with Flame Blade and Decastave, but many people disagree. Not also that since it's "wielded as a scimitar" there should be no problem using it with both hands for extra PA damage.
