[3.5] Echoing Spell for Factotums?

So I recently came across the Echoing Spell metamagic feat in Secrets of Xen'drik, which lets you recast a prepared spell after 1 hour with a reduced caster level, until said caster level would be too low to cast the spell.

Given Factotum's high caster level in comparison to the level of spell to which they have access, the way their spell slots are all back-loaded, and the fact that they can only prepare each spell once, is this great for Factotums?

Or perhaps I've missed something around how Arcane Dilettante works that would prohibit this?
