So, what creatures does Anger of the Noonday sun kill really?

The RAW says it becomes a save or die for "undead specifically harmed by bright light" and gives a vampire as an example.

So, the vampire is obvious, but how much counts as 'harmed'?

Would it kill a shadow? a wraith? a bodak?

Bodak is clearly harmed since sun inflicts damage, just slower than vampires. Similarly the templates for vampiric creature and the Dragon Compendium Bodak creature mean they would also be affected.

Wraith is only rendered "powerless" in daylight, so I would say they wouldn't count. Shadows, weirdly, are not affected by light any more than any other undead.

The list of affected undead is very small, these are the only ones I can think of.

They actually are, just in a really minor way: in brightly lit areas they get a -4 penalty on Hide checks.
