Does Whirling Frenzy rage variant or Ferocity stack with the Reckless Rage feat?

In principle, yes. If your rage didn't already grant an AC penalty and a Strength/Constitution bonus, it becomes slightly unclear, but I would have no RAW objection to adding some STR/CON to Ferocity (or houserule some DEX, if the player wants that).

Edit: Darrin has the right of it, Ferocity doesn't actually specify it's a form of rage. That's odd.

Whirling Frenzy: Yes, by RAW, you don't "lose" your standard barbarian Rage so much as the mechanical effects are different. The text says "when a barbarian with whirling frenzy enters a rage," and also "Whirling frenzy is otherwise identical to the standard barbarian rage in all other ways", so you still count as having Rage. The -2 AC penalty from Reckless Rage will negate the +2 AC bonus from Whirling Frenzy, but you'll still get the +2 Str and +2 Con.

Ferocity is a different beast entirely, and it completely replaces your standard Rage with something called Ferocity, so it doesn't qualify for nor work with Reckless Rage.

I just noticed that under Whirling Frenzy, it also says, "A character can't use whirling frenzy at the same time that he uses any other form of rage (or similar ability)."

That wouldn't interfere with Reckless Rage, would it? Or does that mean something else?

Reckless Rage only modifies your rage, it does not add another type. That clause would interfere with the likes of Frenzy/Feral Trance, but those have exceptions that state they can be used alongside other rage types, so it's a matter of taste, at that point. I'd let them stack. I think that clause is only intended to prevent Whirling Frenzy stacking with regular rage (as in barbarian-with-CFV 1/druid-with-ACF 1).
