I just made an Orc character and I don't want to fall victim to his Light Sensitivity? Do I need magical light protection or will something like a hood work?

There are a couple different sunglasses.

One is Sundark Goggles, I forget the other one.

Spot penalty, but negates the light blindness

Actually, if you have Darkvision, you don't get the Spot penalty either.

Orcs have darkvision, right?

Dragonborn is an option to remove the racial trait completely, has quite a different feel to it than a standard orc though.

Sundark goggles is where its at.

Parasols and hoods wouldn't logically help (unless playing rule of cool of course). It's an eye condition, not a skin condition, so what matters isn't whether direct sunlight is hitting your skin, but whether brightly-illuminated things are in your field of vision.

Sundark goggles cost 10 GP. Races of the Dragon p. 123. They negate the dazzled condition for bright lighting.

Pathfinder Orcs have the Dayrunner trait, which trades the general light penalties for a narrower but slightly larger penalty to ranged attack rolls.

The fluff of this is amusing (or awesome, depending on your POV) but so long as you are primarily melee you shouldn't be affected too adversely.

Fury in the Wastelands have Black Orcs (Uràr Ukâk):
The black orcs are tougher and smarter but even less social than common orcs, and are possessed of great endurance. Black orcs do not breed and only (sterile) males of the race exist. Black orcs are created from the power of foul magic.Black Orcs are don't have Light Sensitivity, and instead got Sunlight Resistant
Also:
Ability scores: +4 Str, +2 Con, -2 Wis, -4 Cha
Bonus feat: Endurance
Poison and Disease Resistance: Black Orcs are immune to non-magical poisons and diseases, and got +4 on saves vs. magical ones
Favored Class: Fighter
Level Adjustment: +0

That's a decent version of the Uruk-Hai right there. I've often thought that Kingdoms of Kalamar doesn't get the love it deserves.

Alright, I gave him the Darksun Shades. Now all he needs is a backwards cap and a skateboard and he'll X-treme to the max.

Elocator (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/psionic/prestigeClasses/elocater.htm) can hover-board all day without a board. Also all night, if you find a way to stay up all night.

Child of Night (ToM) no longer requires sleep at 8th level. Shadowcaster doesn't either at 20th level, but that's not nearly as useful.

Why wouldn't you carry a parasol? In fact you could probably get that parasol enchanted into a +2 flaming parasol if you bribe the DM.

Because he's too heavy to float with it.

He is, sadly, not Mary Poppins, y'all.

Well obviously, Merry Pippins was a Halfling.

Levitate carries 100 lb./level. Certainly a Parasol of Continuous Levitation would be up to the task. Perhaps a slight increase over the default caster level would be needed if the orc's equipment is particularly heavy, but that's easy enough.

Need? No. Want? Yes.

Does your Orc want to be pretty, with a decorative accessory to go with his spikes and skulls? How about mysterious, draping the edge of the parasol just barely over her face? Is your Orc taking a trip to a hot spring, and does he need something to go with his sandals and robe? Does your Orc want a nondescript prop to contain her poison-tipped blowdarts, or a hidden sword? Or is your Orc simply so badass that he can fight off attackers with his umbrella, without even creasing his suit?

Seriously, I'm surprised more characters don't carry umbrellas of some kind. So cool.

There actually are a decent number of badass fictional characters who carry umbrellas around. As fighting game examples I recall Setsuka from Soul Calibur and Shizumaru from Samurai Shodown.

There's also the Penguin and, more recently, the titular agency from Kingsman for examples of fighting with canes and umbrellas (and looking stylish doing so)

If you're using an umbrella as a weapon or as a shield against enemy weapons, it isn't really in a position to provide proper protection from the sun or rain.

The two characters I mentioned carry swords in addition to the umbrella. (Of course they have plenty of moves they can do with the umbrella too, but you can simply refrain from doing those out in the sun to avoid penalties.)

Skateboard
The skateboard has become a ubiquitous part of city living. On level ground, a skateboard increases a person’s speed by an additional 10 feet per round. On a downward slope, this increases by an additional 20 feet per round. The character can only take attack or move actions while riding a skateboard. Any time he does anything fancy, the rider must make a Balance check (DC 15). The DC can increase based on how difficult a maneuver he is attempting. A failed check means that he falls, taking damage as if he fell 10 feet vertically for every 20 feet of movement.

Does my Orc need to carry a parasol?Don't sure about your Orc, but this Half-Orc certainly carrying it:

Second carrying a parasol JUST BECAUSE. Also, sword canes are a thing, but a sword umbrella/parasol is also a thing, and is totally slick. As an orc, you can't lose if it is a secret weapon, a fashion accessory, neither, or something even weirder...
