Hello, I'm currently playing an Ultimate Magus in a campaign, and I'm looking for prestige classes that give the feel of a theoretical approach to the study of magic, like Geometer, are there any other ones with the flavor?

I'm sure there are others, but off the top of my head, the Initiates of the Sevenfold Veil qualify nicely as scholars seeking to understand the link between color and magic. Their Adaptation section in CArc offers alternatives as well: "Instead of color, an initiate might be attempting to understand a philosophical hierarchy, a text of seven fables, seven words of power, or something else entirely."

Initiate of the Sevenfold Veil is great, but sadly it can't really fit into the build seeing it pretty much requires Master Specialist entry. Looking for more, I kinda want to suggest Sacred Geometry but I know I must not.

Archmage (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/prestigeClasses/archmage.htm) might fit the bill? Has a horrible amount of feat tax, though.

Sacred geometry is pathfinder, and ultimate magus is 3.5, so it's unlikely that it would see play either way.

Already looking into it, as both Arcane Reach and Mastery of Elements are great for my build. (I have Chain Spell, and use Orb of Fire as my almost only damaging spell)

Was just kidding anyways :P

Paragnostic Apostle, Loremaster, and Mage of the Arcane Order seem like reasonable choices.

Halruuan Elder and Incantatrix seem like potentially overpowering choices in this vein.

Master specialist branching in arch-mage corresponds to the scholarly scholar wizard who spends his whole time in an university doing theory.(and the master specialist have been made for branching in arch mage so it is 100% intended by the game)
Then take Supernatural Transformation on magic jar sla and then abuse a magic jar spell which can not be dispelled or do other similar tricks with the fact that you can have any wizard spell as a sla.(it might work or not work because innate sla is never defined)
