First, I can't decide if I should make a true "Cleric" or if I should make a "Cultist" -(this 3.5 homebrew design that I can't link to - but you can google up). Or something of the sort that I couldn't find yet.

The idea is to make a Cleric whose goal is to become the "Champion of Evil", collecting the 3 items of the "Regalia of Evil" and bringing war to the good planes (at least desecrating several material planes).

First, I said Cleric but having a deity or patron fiend or devil would work against its purpose of being independent. I was thinking that the cleric would worship "Evil and Defilement" as general ideas, and have his favorite place the "Twelve Trees", an icon against the forces of good that he admires.

In my campaign Devils and Angels would be much harder to summon, as the person summoning one must have their name (not their true name). In the case of Demons, there must be offerings that would appease the one called, and the demon can feel if there is an offer or not. Also, Demons aren't summoned agaisnt their will from somewhere in the abyss. Instead, the spell ask one demon after the other if they wish to go or not. If they don't, another one gets the chance, and so on.

Then, to the character himself:

1. I was thinking about exchanging "rebuke undead" into "Blasphemous Incantation". Maybe I won't even use undead in my game, only devils and Good gods. Either way, Blasphemous Incantation feels more evil-like and flavourful.

2. Dark Speech / Dark Whisphers / feels extremely in-character for this, but I'm not sure if it is THAT helpful. Perhaps to get the additional Dark Speech feats that have it as a pre-requisite? It seems nice for the diplomacy against evil, though, I might need a lot of that since my feats are going to be based mostly against Good. Best to be friends with the whole demon and devil lot, haha.

3. Chosen of Evil / Enemy of Good / Evil Brand and Demonic Conduit. Should I use them or are there better things for Evil?

4. Blessing of the Godless seems very good to have if you invest a bit on Evil Knowledge.

5. Feats of Damnation? Useable? They seem good at first glance...

Domains: Why do we even have domains? Don't the clerics get all these spells anyways? I would love to make a game where spells of a Domain couldn't be used by clerics that didn't have such domain...

Anyways... I'm thinking maybe Evil and Corruption, but Evil Darkness might fit too with the theme.

Any ideas or suggestions here? I'm open to make some other class if it would suit better to the theme, but I believe it needs to be spell-based. I liked Cultist (Homebrew) because it had tons of Vile Feats, can use normal robes (I don't like the idea of heavily armored clerics praying a chant) and other flavourful stuff, but there might be something even better somewhere...

Well, the function of domains is to define a portion of your spell list. Essentially a nonflexible slot you always prepare. Lower versatility slot much like specialist ones. In exchange you get a power (sometimes the main thing) and some crosslist access (almost every domain has a unique or non-Cleric spell).

Thus pick not only by theme but by function. Biut think broad: Planning, Domination, Greed, Pride, Jealousy, etc. feel like potential domains of interest. And yeah, Cleric is more than appropriate. The usual PRCs like Contemplate, Divine Disciple, etc. could also be incorporated.

Is there any PRCs for evil clerics? Which ones are usually seen as best?

I see. Domains still seem pretty dull, though.

No comments about the feats? If I'm a Vasharan Cleric, then I should have... 8 feat slots?

Perhaps I should try the Demoniac Class? X Cleric / 10 Demoniac and something else... I think we can qualify for Demoniac at lv2, am I correct?
