Adapting XGtE's Rangers to Revised Ranger?

Are there any official guide lines on how to make the Ranger's archetypes present in XGtE work with the Revised Ranger? Is just to add Extra Attack at 5th level enough for it to be fine?

Yep, extra attack at level 5 and you’re good to go.

I'd be wary about that.

Xanathar's Ranger subclasses feel a little bit stronger compared to the ones in the players' handbook. And the Revised Ranger in unearthed arcana is still unofficial/playtestable and was also clearly (and stated to be) an attempt to make Rangers stronger.

I think if you attach the Xanathar subclasses to the Revised Ranger you end up with something too strong. It feels like powergaming.
