In the 3rd from last panel, there is a glowing ball floating in the force cage? Or it at least appears to be in the cage. What is this about? Is it an anchor for the force cage? Or am I just forgetting something here?

It's the result of the light spell (http://www.giantitp.com/comics/oots1101.html)
They need it, since humans do not see well in the dark :smallwink:

Elves too - from 3.0 onwards, all they got was low-light vision. Useless in complete darkness.

Yeah, it's the Light spell V cast in #1101.

It's a scrying eye! But whose? Who could be spying on the Order? Redcloak? Myron? So mysterious...I hope the comic answers this question one day...

But the previous scrying eye we saw in #698 (http://www.giantitp.com/comics/oots0698.html) remains a COMPLETE mystery to this day!

You're joking, right?
If not: It was Zz'dtri.

I think the everemphasis of "complete" was a clue.

No, I think he's being serious there's tons of people who could have been Zz'dtri in 698. Er... I mean scrying. Weird typo. Anyways it's still a complete mystery, and we'll probably never know.

I think Gift Jeraff has been doing some research into this question. I wonder if there are any new developments. If so, I would hope that he would put them into his signature. Or his avatar.

Or heck, both.

Or heck, both.I was thinking maybe a bonus strip in Blood Runs in the Family, possibly following 855, would be an excellent find. If such exists.

That's not even remotely true, as 4th Edition merged low-light and darkvision into the same ability, and 5th Edition has kept it the same. It's really only in 3rd Edition and its spin-offs that Elves can't see in total darkness.

The old necromancer they robbed back in Greysky City is scrying on the OOTS, plotting his revenge for their breaking into his mansion and destroying his experiments.

I, too, enjoyed the tip on eliminating signatures.

But what if someone were to solve our question, and put the answer in their signature? How would we ever find out about it?

I think it was Julia.
No, no, it was Miko. She came back to life as a death knight and learned scrying.

We could scry for it!

It is shocking to me that given how many threads I've started, this would be the most popular ...
