in XGtE there is a cleric cantrip called "Word of Radiance"

It allows you to do 1d6 (cantrip scaling) Radiant damage to all the creatures you can see with in its range, CON save.
the Range of the spell is 5

So to try and optimise this:

Divine soul Sorcerer - with distance spell metamagic - for 1 SP you can double the range of a spell.

Spell sniper - all ranged spells have their range doubled

so for 1 SP we can affect as many creatures as we can see in a burst 20'

Any other things we can do to improve it...

or do you have any fun finds in XGtE.

Not sure of Distant Spell would interact with that spell the way you described.
Spell Sniper only doubles the range of attack spells that require an attack roll. So Hand/Word of Radiance, being a save-or-suck, would not be affected by that.

Sorry to burst your bubble like that. Just wanted to make sure people know it won't work without express DM fiat.

Unfortunately you can only use spell sniper's range doubling on effects that require an attack roll- so no boost there for word of radiance. Distant spell is pretty sick on it though, getting to upgrade an AOE is pretty nice.

Personally I'd stick to light cleric using this, the 8th level feature applying extra damage to multiple targets seems pretty cool. Extremely late game you also impose disad on the save (corona of light). Think of going in with a super-upcast spirit guardians doing like 6 or 7 d8 to everything, and then also you get to deal like 4d6+5 to anything you go stand next to.

Well, crap. Now you made me wanna think up a cool character concept to make out of a Light Cleric that'll go ham with his spells like that.

Edit: You could add some extra cheese by casting SG, then casting Sanctuary on your next turn. sG affects enemy creatures, but it's already been cast. So Sanctuary should stay up as long as you don't attack or cast damaging spells. Just wade through the battlefield and annoy the heck out of baddies.

Arcana cleric at level 8 can add their wis bonus to this cantrip.
