A while back I posted I was new to 3.5 and asked for some help constructing a build based on the Malconvoker class. I got some awesome advice from alot of people and more than a few pointed me to the "Mastering the Malconvoker" Guide, which has been a lifesaver for learning 3.5 so far, so I'm back to ask for some more advice from you guys

I didnt really like any of the suggested builds in the guide, so I came up with my own

SpecialistWiz6/malc9/thaum5 I'm currently SpecWiz5/malc4

My banned schools are Necromancy and evocation (minions for blasting, necromancer in the party)

1. Is there anything wrong with this build that the other builds cover that I'm not seeing by chance? It seems like a straightforward list straight up to the best demon summoner I can be.

2. I currently have a Force Shield ring, the Robe of Inferno, a Ring of Spell Storing, a cloak of Persuasion, and a headband of intellect. My bluff is pretty high, and my charisma is decent, especially with spells. I'm currently looking for a way to boost my int alittle more, and maybe my reflex/fort saves too as those are only +2 and +2 and I'm worried of getting saves-nuked. I have a barghest planar-bound and plan on getting a succubus this level.

My feats currently are Augmented Summoning, Elemental Reserve, Demon mastery, Skill focus: bluff, Spell focus: conjuration. Criminal Apprentice. (bluff free from malconvoker, familiar swapped for augment)

So yeah, general advice for someone not very familiar with 3.5 appreciated. Thanks!

looks like you messed up 2 ACFs
http://www.d20srd.org/srd/variant/classes/specialistWizardVariants.htm#conjurerVariants
the familiar swaps out for rapid summoning
and scribe scroll swaps of for augment summoning and At 5th level, the conjurer's summoned creatures become particularly tough to dispel. Add 2 to the DC of any caster level check made to dispel the conjurer's summoned creatures.

so talk to your DM, make sure your using the proper ACFs and getting the proper benefits of both

nothing wrong with your build, pretty simple so far, since your new to 3.5, that's probly best anyways

there's no problem that the proper summons cant handle

Ah I did take rapid summoning! I forgot. No full round summons for me. I appreciate the reminder. Do you have any feat suggestions for the couple I have left?

Well, since you're a Wizard 5 anyway, why not pick up the Spontaneous Divination ACF, which grants you the ability to spontaneously convert spells into Divination spells like a Cleric can with Cure spells at the price of a single bonus feat. Oddly enough, you don't need to be a Diviner in order to take it.

extend spell is always good on a summoner build, makes your critters last longer, especially if your using them utility
Cloudy Conjuration can be fun, nothing wrong with adding battlefield control to your summons

also using the summon undead line of spells can mesh with your necromancer in the party if he has lots of things that buff undead
