Question regarding Shadowblade

In a campaign I am playing in, I am a oath of vengeance 6 and undying light warlock 6 (from the first iteration of UA). Would I be able to take shadowblade, and use it as my melee weapon? I know technically I can, but this is a str based character with the Great Weapon Fighting fighting style. I know I could still use it, but would it work with that fighting style?

You can use if with a strength based attack. However, it is a single handed weapon that is not versatile. So, you would not be able to wield it in two hands and therefore can't use the Great Weapon Fighting style.
