Was looking over the different classes and realized that the Cavalier and Ancestral Guardian work very well together...

At level 3 the Barbarian Range and Cavaliers Unwavering Mark can mark a single target together, that target now gets disadvantage on all attacks against anyone (including the Barb and Cavalier) as long as the Cavalier remains within 5 ft, and that attack also
1) Gives its target resistance (if targeting anyone besides the Barb)
2) Creates an opening for a special bonus action attack on the Cavaliers turn that has advantage and does extra damage (if targeting anyone besides the Cavalier)
3) Both (if targeting anyone besides both the Barb and Cavalier.

At level 6 the Barb gets to use their reaction for a 2d6 flat damage reduction for any single attack in addition to the above, which scales in level while raging, including against itself. This eventually damages the attacker at level 14.

At level 7 the Cavalier can roll a 1d8 and add the number rolled to the target's AC against an attack for a reaction for anyone within 5 ft, including themselves. If the attack still hits, the target has resistance against the damage, perfect if the opponent targets the Barbarian with a spell that gets past the Barbarian's resistance.

At level 10 the Cavalier gains a mixture of Tunnel Fighter and Sentinel, opening up extra OA attacks.

There are other abilities as well, but those are the main ones. Combine it with Sentinel and PAM, and you have a combo that can very easily hamper any single enemy to the point of laughability... and spread it out to other targets. While the Barbarian's marking is only the first creature attacked, the Cavalier's is any melee attack up to their Str modifier times per long rest.

Besides getting PAM/Sentinel/HWM, what are other ways to increase the fun on this?
Perhaps both of them multi-class into the other one? If you did, you'd probably want to do it after level 8 in both classes, for the ASI cut off.
What other ways can we increase the duo's defensive capabilities?
