Greetings, all!

For our campaign, our GM has allowed us to change the feats and skill points of newly-summoned animal companions. Aside from Nymph's Kiss (which has some awkward RP requirements in this campaign), what other means exist (in books, web articles, or magazines) to get more skill points per level? The feat Open Minded is weak for what we intended to do.

The intent for this is to qualify for Greater Dragonmarks (which the GM has allowed for animal companions), especially the Greater Dragonmark of Passage for teleport.

If open to cheese, Open Minded and DCFS multiple times allows you to get extra skill ranks, you would lose skill points that were not used but not any skill ranks by RAW.

Get the animal companion a Helm of Comprehend Languages (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/magicItems/wondrousItems.htm#helmofComprehendLanguagesandRead Magic) for the duration of reading a Tome of Clear Thought (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/magicItems/wondrousItems.htm#tomeofClearThought) prior to leveling? You may need to raise the beast from a pup to justify this, though. This would be easier in Pathfinder, as the +Int Enhancement headbands come with skills that can be set by the creator.

The Human Blood feat grants +1 skill point per level. This also has unfortunate implications, though less so if you consider that said human ancestor might have conceived with an anthropomorphic animal which then conceived with an awakened animal, which then conceived with a regular animal somewhere down the line. Or maybe the awakening was somehow undone, or perhaps the intelligence simply dissipated sometime later down the bloodline.

I can only find Human Blood in D&Dwiki, what's the source?
