Quick question: Do the vambraces protect from ALL ranged attacks (including ranged touch attacks) or just ranged weapon attacks?

It fails to specify "weapon" attacks, so...

Of course, the reading could be taken as only attacks against armor AC since it doesn't mention "touch attacks" either, but at that point we're splitting hairs.

Looks to me like it's -4 to all ranged attacks by Evil creatures, and that includes spells & other effects which require an attack roll.

I agree; it appears that it would work against magical attacks as well.
