So recently with the real upheaval of everything 4E in the 5E release this area was an issue for my group.
In 4E the Shades come in, some how clear the desert and revitalize the entire region back to a beautiful grassland, no clue how of course but they do say that they melted the ice caps which added water to the area and recreated the Netheril like feel of it.
Then 5 E comes along and whamo, its a desert again. No reason or anything other than the Shades being destroyed. It wasn't part of the Spellplague or because a god died or was reborn or anything that SEEMED to be the reason for the 5E switch...
Has anyone had issues with that and if so, how have you handled it?
