take alter reality.
well the fact you had other powers never mattered.
in fact a god with an infinity of divine ranks is not different from one who have only one if they both take alter reality.

I mean, optimized for what? Are we thinking of this character as being an adventurer who's going to go clanging around in dungeons, or as an ambitious young godling who wants to increase their divine rank, or as a deity who is dedicated to their followers/portfolio and simply wants what's best for those in their care? Or something else? The concept of "optimization" within the scope of the D&D ruleset gets weird when you move away from adventuring, but optimization is always towards a goal, so we kind of have to talk about that.

30 Commoner levelsWhere's you found the Epic progression for Commoner? :smallconfused:

take alter reality. It may be difficult:
the Elite arrayElite Array (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/improvingMonsters.htm#eliteArray):
The elite array is: 15, 14, 13, 12, 10, 8.Alter Reality (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/divine/divineAbilitiesFeats.htm#alterReality):
Prerequisite
Cha 29.

Be Half-Elf, for Charisma 17 base.

Then, you have 50 HD. That's 12 stat bumps-put them all in Charisma. Charisma 29, bim-bam-boom.

But half-elf doesn't boost CHA in 3.5, though?

If you're limited to SRD races, there aren't any LA 0 ones that directly boost CHA; that said, you can always advance a few age categories before your apotheosis and get higher CHA that way.

Or, you know, take Great Charisma (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/epic/feats.htm#greatCharisma) with a couple of your Epic feats.

Or, you know, get a magic item. If a Divine Ranked lvl 50 NPC cannot afford a Cloak of Charisma +2, then we have problems.

You can get at-will shapechange (and another 9th or three) with the right domains; your caster level will be only 11, but it's still worth it.

Perhaps more to the point than shapechange, you can also get at-will time stop via time domain. There's not much that anyone can do to stop you if you're permanently time stopped, and you can also get rune domain for explosive runes if you actually need to kill someone (notably, rune domain also gets you teleportation circle, and we all know what that leads to).

I feel like a freakin’ deity shouldn’t need a magic item to access their own SDAs and should pretty much be their own source of power.

That said, we’ve got a great mythological counterexample right here (https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Megingjörð), so maybe I shouldn’t get too high and mighty about that.

About the domains:
Meditation, Mentalism, and Travel are got Astral Projection as their 9th-level spell
Force domain - Annihilation (produces temporary Sphere of Annihilation)
Creation domain - Genesis

About the SDAs:
Firstly, DvR 1 will get two, not one; thus, Alter Reality isn't the only option
And secondly, Divine Fire Mastery (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/divine/divineAbilitiesFeats.htm#divineFireMastery):
The deity has complete control over all nonmagical fire and can duplicate the effect of any spell with the fire descriptor as a standard action.Correct me if I'm wrong, but Epic Spells (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/epic/spellsIntro.htm) are still spells, and addition of Seed: Energy (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/epic/seeds/energy.htm) may give fire descriptor to anything; thus:
Abjuration? Warding Flame.
Conjuration? There are many subschools, but still doable
Divination? Guiding Flame.
Enchantment? Enthralling Flame.
Evocation? Should I even clarify this one?
Illusion? Deceptive Flame.
Necromancy? Flame of Underworld.
Transmutation? Rebirthing Flame.

Absolutely not optimized, but I had to make it.

Race: Half-Giant
Str 15->17
Dex 13->11
Con 14-> 16
Int 12
Wis 8
Cha 10

Stat bonuses to Strength at 4, 8, 12, 16, 20, etc

Skills to maximize:
Profession: Lumberjack
Handle Animal
Perform: Tall Tale (cross-class)

Feats
1 Proficiency: Hand Axe
3 Power Attack
6 Improved Sunder
9 Weapon Focus (Hand Axe)
12 Animal Affinity
15 Improved Bull Rush
18 ...

When your Strength is 25 (either through stat bumps or Great Strength epic feats), take Awesome Blow. (Half-Giant should allow you to qualify).

When you reach level 19, rear a Dire Ox (use stats for Triceratops). This can qualify as a Wild Cohort, though that's on the Wizards site and not the SRD.

But without the CHA for Alter Reality, how will you turn your Dire Ox blue?

"Oh, you heard that, huh? Yeah, I get that a lot. She's not blue, like the color. Poor girl gets sad easy. One time it got so bad we had a team of Gnome confectioners working round the clock to supply her with chocolate. Took almost a whole day to explain to them what Chocolate was. Every sheep for a hundred miles around was walking naked for a month, from all the handkerchiefs we went through. Eventually some smarty-pants Wizard came over and cast Hideous Laughter on her, but that just made her mad."
