So how exactly is Mirror Image useful in combat? I just can't see how it's useful in a combat situation.

What’s the confusion? It’s a no concentration miss chance for any enemy to hit you? It’s one of the best defensive buffs in the game.

It's not concentration and you get to tell people they missed. What's not to love?

Ablative armor against attack rolls, which are many. It's not a perfect defense, but if you're a stock wizard (ac mostly from DEX), you've got a decent chance of evading quite a few hits. And at third level when you get it, wizards can't take many hits. Less good against quick hitters (because some will get through and wear down the images fast) but great against those one per turn big hits.

I'm AFB , so I'll let someone else do the math.

*sIgh* because I'm thinking of SILENT IMAGE, not Mirror image. Never mind the flash of stupid, folks. :/
