So, here's the idea:
+ Ability Scores: S 8, D: 15, C: 14, I: 12, W: 13, Ch: 10
+ Race: Wood Elf (Dex +2, longbow proficiency, improved hiding, mobility and other elf goodies)
+ Class: Rogue - Assasin (At 3rd level you deal a critical hit to every surprised target)
+ 4th level ASI: Elven Accuracy (Dex +1 and double-advantage)
+ Wait for one more level for the Uncanny Dodge and 3d6 Sneak Attack.
+ Take a three level dip in a ranger class and choose the Horizon Walker as your subclass.
+ As a bonus action Horizon Walker can transform entire damage of your next hit to force damage, and this damage is increased by 1d8 (force). You can use this ability once per turn (no rest required).
+ At 8th level your sneak attack with +4 bonus and double advantage deals 1d8+4+3d6+1d8 force damage, (23 on average, 46 if the target is surprised).
+ Your maxed out character (Assasin 17, Horizon Walker 3), deals 1d8+5+9d6+1d8 force damage, (45 on average, 91 if the
target is surprised, 182 if the target lost a Constitution saving throw against your Death Strike ability). So, if my calculations are correct, as a result, without any magic items, you make more force damage than a maxed out Warlock.
+ Downsides: You loose a bonus action, so no dashing in this turn.
+ Upsides: Anything above.
Am I reading something wrong, or this is absolutely amazing?
