With some friends we`re about to begin an online campaign with a Dungeon Based module (Tomb of Horrors - No spoilers please). I find myself not deciding for which kind of PC to play, so i`d figure i could ask you what do you thinl would be a cool class to use. Give me your ideas, it has to be lvl 7-9. Classes not to be considered for different reasons: monk, scout, beguiler & ranger.

EDIT: My PC stats are 17/15/14/12/10/10.

Factotum, from Dungeonscape. Be anybody, a certain number of times per day. Plus the book it's from should give you a good hint as to it's utility.

That said, it'd be really useful to know what the rest of the party intends to play. If you don't know, go for a rogue-ish character, there's always the ability to specialize into something different from another rogueish character.

Without spoiling anything... something with good saves, and something that can search for traps. WELL.

Something with lots and lots and lots and lots of other character backups.

Factotum has the skills you will need (trapfinding, trapfinding), a decent HD, and good Ref saves. A decent wis and a decent con will help your Fort and Will as well as cunning insight. With your stats, 17 int, 14 con, 12 or 14 dex, 14 or 12 wis, 10 str, 10 cha. Take font of inspiration as every feat. You might make it out alive.

Make a wizard backup character with every cheesy spell you can. Don't hesitate to powergame in this dungeon. Then make at least 6 more backup characters.

Make sure AT LEAST one character in the party has trapfinding at all times.

Where can I find font of inspiration?

We used unseen servants to open ALL the doors, move ALL objects that needed moving, and pretty much to ALL of the adventure... it helped, alot

If your party doesnt have a traditional rogue (meaning one who can disable device and pick locks are max) then make a character who can.

Get a wand of summon monster 1 or 2.
