Our DM has allowed us access to two Homebrew classes, the Hedgewitch and the Shaman.

At 1st I thought Shaman was great because, with a Familiar, it allowed you to play Land Druid without all the Armor hoops to jump through. Then I saw the lack of Summon spells on their list and realized Druids make better summoners.

My 2nd thought was that the Wrath path had some very nice abilities that opened up Necromancer pretty nicely. IMO they 'can' do it but Clerics and Wizards do it Better.

Is this just another version of the Arcane Cleric that can get a Familiar???
Is it just a re-skinned Cleric with access to some druid spells?

How should this Class be played and how would You build it?

So there is a Group of gamers out there on YouTube called Dawnforgedcast. They are considered "Third Party" for all intents and purposes. They have made a few classes that IMO are VERY well balanced. Particularly the Alchemist and the Shaman. They are like 2$ (American) and can be downloaded online. You may wish to check these out with your GM. I highly recommend it.
