Polymorph + archetype

As easy as it is: can I use polymorph to transform not into a simple moster but into a monster with some archetype (obviously since I rispect HD limit)?

I think he means he doesn't understand what you mean by "archetype", which is not a defined game term for 3.5.

I think what you meant was "template". If that was the case, then the answer is "No". Polymorph cannot be used to assume forms with a template.

From the Monster Manual errata: "A creature cannot use alternate form to take the form of a creature with a template."
