I saw 'Clairemont', and had a moment of severe confusion as to why I didn't know about this - I live in a town called Claremont.

It was just a loud bang. I initially didn't think much of it as it sounded like a trash can got knocked over or something. There was no engine sound as the plane went down, implying the engine died while it was in flight.
