Hello,

I am an avid Dungeon Master and Homebrewer. I've made a Monster Manual's worth of custom bad guys plus spells and so forth. I want to print it all out for my use at the table, but I'd like to get it printed up professionally and bound into a book or something similar. I know there are online companies who do this, but I don't know who is reputable and will give me a quality product for a fair price. Has anyone else here done this and who did you go with?

Personally I haven't done this but I've written up a book I wouldn't mind having printed as well. I did look into trying to do the book binding myself, but I have yet to take the time to attempt such a feat.

There's quite a few tutorials online on how to bind books, with the most promising (in my mind) involving using Adobe InDesign. (Sorry for the lack of link, don't have 10 posts yet)
It's not a program that I have, but I like the idea of sewing pages together, applying glue to the spine, etc. a lot more than reformatting my entire document so it will fit in booklet format (in a legible way).

While this likely isn't the kind of answer you wanted, it will most likely be cheaper going this route. I'm not sure how much it would cost to have a company do the work for you, but I imagine it's not cheap. Well, if price is a concern of yours.

If you find a company after all and end up with a finished product you are happy with, let us know!

For what it's worth: http://www.adobe.com/products/indesign.html?sdid=KKQLR&mv=search&s_kwcid=AL!3085!3!196928852613!e!!g!!adobe%20indes ign&ef_id=WCnsPwAAAIzv4wvD:20171213175122:s

I know nothing about this product and am simply providing the link on behalf of Papaya Pete.

What kind of binding are you after? If you want a hardcover then my Kinkos or Staples suggestion probably won't do (but it's worth asking). In such a case, check with your local university, as many require dissertations and the like to be bound, and you should be able to find out where the students take them.

But if you're satisfied with something other than classic stitched, glued, etc. - spiral bound (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Coil_binding), plastic or metal comb bound (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Comb_binding), screw posts (https://static1.squarespace.com/static/5347f53ce4b0aea4477dcaa4/534ffef9e4b02e8e0e0e9bc4/5368af24e4b05c2e83779723/1399369508729/screwpost.jpg), etc. - then the retail shops really are a good way to go.
