Having just watched the classic Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer, I can't help but wonder how Yukon Cornelius would translate to 5e terms for a future character.

A summary of Yukon and his Abilities/Skills/Gear:

-Insanely strong: Yukon grapples a Yeti and shoves it off a cliff. Another time he effortlessly pulls a sled full of gear, 5-6 sled dogs, 1 elf, and 1 reindeer.
-Unimpeded by the elements: he never shows worse for wear at any point even after traveling through a 'christmas ending' blizzard with a Yeti in tow.
-Marvelously bearded: This trait coupled with his unflinching loyalty, obsession with precious metals, and bravado make a strong case that he could be a Dwarf and not a Human
-Beast Master: Yukon tames the aforementioned Yeti after plunging over the cliff with it. Not too mention befriending a transient deer and his elf companion
-Varied arms: Yukon carries his magic pickaxe of prospecting, revolver, Hammer, and dagger. He has a sled to carry his gear with a team of 5 loyal sled dogs
-Uncanny taste: Yukon can identify (silver, gold, peppermint) based on smell alone. It is unknown if this ability is inherent, or acquired through the use of his pickaxe.

So what do you think? Race/class/skills? Variant Human Monster Slayer Ranger? Dwarven Strength Barbarian/Ranger?
