Mtn dorf ranger cleric mc?

Were thinking about a wisdom Gish great weapon fighter and were wondering how good you guys think gloam stalker and the forge cleric would mix? Were thinking 8 ranger 12 cleric split or perhaps 12 ranger 8 cleric not sure tho, starting attributes 17/13/15/9/14/8, plays perfectly into one ASI fixing STR and DEX to even scores and later resilient CON which will let you have all 3 major saves proficient.

How well would this work out in practice and what other feats would you recommend?

It's a good combination.

Forge cleric gets Elemental Weapon, which is awesome buff, but besides that it doesn't add much more than other clerics, you'll probably have a Magic Weapon when you MC on Cleric. War Cleric have a little bit more useful stuff.

Some great spells for Martial oriented PC: Shield of Faith (c), Protection from Evil and Good (c), Bless (c), Spiritual Weapon, Aid, Spirit Guardians (c), Elemental Weapon (c), Death Ward, Holy Weapon (c)

Ranger get STR DEX proficiences, as melee you'll want CON and WIS proficiences. Gloom Stalker gets WIS on lv 7, so I'd recommend going straight level 8 (for ASI) as a ranger before MC.

You will also need to get GWM to profit from yout Gloom Stalker ability. Without GWM you'll benefit more from Shield and Dueling.

Thanks for the tips, ye were thinking resilient CON and GWM as feats and probably rest as ASI’s. :)

Why not go with a arcane cleric with BB or GFB. Untell you can pick up holy weapon, steel wind strike, tenser transformation.

Bb and GFB would be pretty useless on a character that gets 3 attacks by level 3(if bonus attack) and 4 on level 5 no?

BB or GFB has low sinergy with Gloom Stalker and Extra Attack.

Those are good for single hit characters or Eldritch Knights.
